Currently there are six weekly direct flights from Lima to Chachapoyas. Operated by ATSA Airlines, they use a Dash Q402, and typically leave Lima in the morning.  The flight can be amazing, because they fly over the Cordillera Blanca, and sitting on the right side can offer super views of some of the snow peaks in Peru, including Huascaran (6768m/22205ft), the highest in the country.

So arriving before lunch means you can take advantage to start a tour in Chachapoyas, be it Huancas or Cambolin, or have a relaxed afternoon enjoying Chachapoyas City.
