Mr. Dover and his very safe driver, accompanied us on a 800 mile adventure that began in Chiclayo, across the mighty Marañon river to the Kuelap citadel and Leymebamba, ending in Cajamarca. We went from sea level to near thirteen thousand feet, and were received warmly in the quaint and comfortable inns along the route. Mr. Dover has made his home the spectacular Utcubamba River Valley and is well known and respected by all we met.
