Trekking in the Chachapoyas area is very special: you will hike or horse ride through stunning varied scenery; be away from the crowds you find on popular trails in southern Peru and you get to experience places comparatively few people have seen.
Vilaya Tours has organized trekking tours since 1998. Our standard tours go to Laguna de los Condores (Lake of the Condors) and Tajopampa. Whether you want to hike or horse ride Vilaya Tours can make your adventure comfortable.
Our treks are designed so you have time to acclimatize before heading into the higher mountains and starting the more strenuous days. You can ride horses or hike through the magnificent scenery of the Chachapoya, observing their remains dotted along the ancient trails whilst taking in the contemporary life of today’s inhabitants.
And remember Vilaya Tours is always prepared to do custom/tailor made trips if you want to go a different route from those mentioned below.
