The Santa Ana Ethnohistorical and Religious Museum, Chachapoyas
The Ethnohistorical and Religous Museum at Santa Ana in Chachapoyas has recently opened. It is located inside the Santa Ana Church which was the first Indian place of worship. Due to seismic activity the church has suffered considerably on numerous occasions since being first being built in 1569.
Inside are various displays and panels with information on the geography, ecology and climate of the department of Amazonas. There are displays of cultural aspects both current and past from the Chachapoyas area.
We will be including the museum in our tours wherever time allows.
